My shoe loving craziness made me come up with my own storage solution for my shoes. I essentially had a lot of shoes with very little space in which to store them I had looked at all the storage solutions in the market, but I lacked the space to take advantage of any of them (there are a lot of options!). My shoes were gathering dust and losing their shapes from being thrown together in a compact space. I moved from London two years ago, and a lot of my shoes were irreplaceable. My storage problem was making me upset. So, I started to think about how to protect them. I eventually studied my closet and realized I had a lot of wall space. I decided to make use of that.
I decided to utilize the wall space by hanging bags on it. I knew there were shoe bags available (esp. with designer shoes) however, I did not want to waste time looking through each bag to find the shoes of my choice. I then realized a shoe bag with a window would solve my problem. Thereafter, I started to sew my own shoe bags. Now, all my shoes have their own home and are tidily hanging on my wall on hooks in the closet-clean, dust free and in shape. In addition, when I travel (which is often!), I take the bag with the desired shoes off the hook, and throw it in my suitcase.

The bags are also great for taking evening shoes to work. They make great birthday, bridal shower, bachelorette party or just-because gifts too.
Every woman who has heard about or seen these shoe bags is crazy about them! Turns out a lot of women have the same storage problem I faced. |
